On November 13, 2015 three teams of Islamic State jihadists launched coordinated assaults on Paris leaving 129 dead and hundreds injured. Concertgoers at the Bataclan theatre, diners at several bars and restaurants and football fans at the Stade de France were among the victims in the worst-ever terror attack on French soil. Seven attackers were killed or blew themselves up during the assault, while suspected ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud was killed during a massive police raid on an apartment just outside Paris on Wednesday.
