Here’s Whats Happened To The Crime Rate In NYC Since The Two NYPD Cops Were Murdered

Police officers in New York are very unhappy about the way they’re being treated by Mayor De Blasio, and the anti-cop rhetoric of Sharpton, Holder and Obama. Now, they’re using one of their most potent weapons, a work slow down, or as the Post puts it a virtual work stoppage.
Via the New York Post:
It’s not a slowdown — it’s a virtual work stoppage.
NYPD traffic tickets and summonses for minor offenses have dropped off by a staggering 94 percent following the execution of two cops — as officers feel betrayed by the mayor and fear for their safety, The Post has learned.
The dramatic drop comes as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Mayor de Blasio plan to hold an emergency summit on Tuesday with the heads of the five police unions to try to close the widening rift between cops and the administration.

The unprecedented meeting is being held at the new Police Academy in Queens at 2 p.m., sources said.
Angry union leaders have ordered drastic measures for their members since the Dec. 20 assassination of two NYPD cops in a patrol car, including that two units respond to every call.
It has helped contribute to a nose dive in low-level policing, with overall arrests down 66 percent for the week starting Dec. 22 compared with the same time period in 2013, stats show.
Citations for traffic violations fell by 94 percent, from 10,069 to 587, during that time frame.
Summonses for low-level offenses like public drinking and urination also plunged 94 percent — from 4,831 to 300.
Even parking violations are way down, dropping by 92 percent, from 14,699 to 1,241.
Drug arrests by cops assigned to the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau — which are part of the overall number — dropped by 84 percent, from 382 to 63.
The Post obtained the numbers hours after revealing that cops were turning a blind eye to some minor crimes and making arrests only “when they have to” since the execution-style shootings of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.

  1. In the end, the city doesn't care about reducing crimes, they're concerned with the loss of revenue by these tickets not being written...

  2. That so-called assassination attempt is bogus. I saw video recorded from an elevated position above and to the driver side of the car. A body on both sides, face up with NO BLOOD anywhere, yet both supposedly shot in the face?? I am sick of these drills they pretend are live. I will post the video here when I get in the office.

  3. So if you're a black person in New York City, and you were wondering why you weren't being stopped and frisked and why no one was banging down your door to arrest you for smoking a harmless substance . . .

  4. These "stories" of the MSM have gotten to the point where I no longer believe ANYthing 'they' say. This one is just another weak attempt to create a boogeyman for "justification" of more draconian laws and tactics. The timing for this particular event was simply to give a reason for the cops to get a break for the holidays, while still allowing them to selectively enforce at will.

  5. The Five Families, more like it.

So, when are these cops going to be laid off?

  6. So if the cops are scared, then they won't do their jobs anymore. Do they really want people to realize this? This sounds like a staged event to get more people to think this way. If it keeps happening then here comes the solution to save the day, more facism.
Killing each other is just another setup.
